All apps

Every Bridge app, what's the same in all of them, what differs, and which are in the handbook.

Many apps, one system

Bridge is many apps, each for its own job. They all use the same package, so the pieces are the same everywhere. What changes is each app's frame and habits. Before building, answer two questions.

  1. Which app are you designing for? Open its page below and build inside its frame, at its widths, with its habits.
  2. Which app are you coming from? If you know another app, check what’s different (below). If the people using your screen arrive from another app, check that app page’s “Arriving from another Bridge app”.

AI agents get the same two questions from the MCP’s plan_screen.

Apps in the handbook

AppForScreens

The same in every app

  • The components: every app imports them from @brdgapp/ui, so a button, menu, table or dialog looks and behaves the same.
  • Colors, type, spacing, corners and shadows: the same tokens, light and dark.
  • The page shapes: the eight templates. A record page or a table page is the same shape in any app.
  • The rules and patterns: one blue button per group, each part loads on its own, how to confirm a delete, how to write an error.

Different in each app

Coming from another app? These are the things to look up on the new app's page.

  • The frame: top bar or sidebar, the background, the page padding.
  • The page widths and which screens use which.
  • The main areas and where navigation lives.
  • Product components (a contact card, an intro row) that belong to that app.
  • The files a new screen touches.

Not in the handbook yet

From Bridge OS's app launcher. Each joins when it's surveyed; until then, use the templates and rules, and match the app's existing screens.

Known gaps

Where Bridge OS code differs from this page today. Follow the page, not the gap.

  • Only Bridge OS is in the handbook so far. Each app gets its own page (frame, widths, habits, every screen and its template) once it's surveyed.
